“HAIR” is a new type of exciting lighting system that gives people special experience. This design utilizes simple physical phenomenon called static electricity.

Once the light is on, Van de graaff generator starts to charge the hair surrounding the light. Then, hair would pull each other and eventually form a sphere-like shape as a whole. This dynamic nature of the system would give user an experience that no other lighting systems would give. A Van de Graaff generator is an electrostatic generator which uses a moving belt to accumulate very high voltages on a hollow metal globe on the top of the stand. If viewer watch the “HAIR” for the first time, viewer might feel mysterious and some- times could be astonished, because “HAIR” looks very strange like human hair up in the air. However, it makes viewer want to touch and feel it comfortable. Finally, viewer could meet with a new and exciting experience.
